Project Details

A link-in-bio page is one of those things everyone needs and nobody wants to pay a subscription for. mycarrd is the free version: you sign in, add your name, bio, avatar and links, pick one of 34 visual styles, and you have a page at mycarrd.link/yourname that takes about twenty seconds to make.

The interesting problem was the templates. Each of the 34 is a complete design system rather than a colour swap — its own paper, ink, accent and typographic voice, from a sun-warm indie launch deck to a magazine-cover editorial to a vintage Japanese cassette sleeve. The editor previews the real thing as you type, so choosing one is a visual decision rather than a guess.

Accounts are email or Google sign-in, used only to sign you in and save your page. mycarrd never posts on your behalf and reads nothing else from the account — a constraint worth designing for, because a link-in-bio tool asking for broad social permissions is exactly the thing people refuse.
